Spotlight on Staff…Raj

Monday, March 11th, 2019

Our pre-School leader at Alwoodley is one our “home-grown” talents. Starting with us over 5 years ago Raj has excelled in both her childcare qualifications and leadership skills. In their Ofsted inspection Raj’s practice was commended by the inspector and we’re thrilled she is getting the recognition she deserves. We often feel like an extended family here at Little People,  but in Raj’s case it’s true with her Mum as Manager, and her sister working in our other setting too. Here she is receiving her award presented by Marguerite and Tracy at our awards night.
Our Parents say…

“Very professional, always has time to talk through my child’s development. A very nice key person for my child!”

“Simply because she is great at her job. Rajbinder provides excellent feedback, is really good with the children and seems to do her job with seamless efficiency.”

“She’s very welcoming and always does extra for the children and making sure they are taken care of in the setting. She is very confident and easy to approach.”

Our team members say…

Raj is such a cool and calm room leader, she’s always there to give amazing advice for staff and parents and her priority at all times is the children. Raj spends so much time with the children and it really shows in all their amazing bonds! Keep being amazing Raj!”

“She has been supportive throughout my time at Little People and is an asset to the team at Alwoodley.”

“Raj works hard, day in day out, she is always challenging herself and leads her room very well. Raj has always worked hard at her job, always comes to work with a smile on her face and cares so well for all the children!”

“Great room leader, love working with her!”

“Rajbinder is an excellent room leader from lovely activities, to displays and how she manages the team! All the children love her and she’s a very valued member of the team. Rajbinder is a pleasure to be around :)”

Raj says…

“I feel like there were more deserving people for this pride award however the pride award has reassured me that I am actually doing a good job and that staff and parents appreciate it which is a nice feeling.

I am very thankful to all of the staff members and parents who took the time to vote for me. Also to the Alwoodley team who make work a joy on a day to day basis.

I have worked at Little People for 5 years now and I have become a better person for it. Since starting I have completed my apprenticeship and then completed my level 4 and became Schoolroom room leader and I couldn’t have done it with out the  support from the management and all of the other staff!”
