Requirements
- A Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
- Experience of catering for a large group of people
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Ability to time manage effectively.
- Ability to prepare good quality meals, with basic, healthy ingredients.
- Ability to control the kitchen environment and ensure all who use it adheres to Health and Safety and Environmental Health regulations.
- Ability to record and pass on information accurately, effectively and concisely between management and staff.
- Ability to accept instructions and commitment to personal development.
- Ability to co-operate with others both formally and informally and to work as a team member.
- Commitment to delivering a high quality provision and accepting responsibility for their part in this.
Details
Little People Nurseries in Farfield are looking to recruit a Temporary Nursery Cook to join their thriving team. This is to cover absence for 6 month.
The Nursery cook prepares a healthy 2 course meal for lunchtime for up to 70 children daily, in addition the children eat breakfast and afternoon tea, which is planned for and stocked by the cook. You would be responsible for stock control and cleanliness of our 5* nursery kitchen.
We are looking for a candidate who is able to run the Nursery Kitchen to a high standard, providing the children with a balance diet, cook and prepare food to a high standard, and ensure a high level of hygiene is adhered to at all times.
We take the safety of our children very seriously and you will be asked to provide us with detailed referencing, identification which includes Police checks
