Thursday, May 30th, 2019

Shona works in our busy Tweenie room at our Bramley Nursery. Working with children aged 2-3 years is never dull and Shona’s quiet hardworking nature means she is sometimes described as the unsung hero! Shona first met us as a student on placement at the Stanningley setting many moons ago…once she’d completed her college course she joined us permanently and was the worthy award winner at our Christmas Party. Shona’s year has been challenging, as you’ll read in her comments, keep reading to the end for a special announcement!
Our parents say…

“Shona is a wonderful teacher to my little girl and she has come on heaps because of the help Shona has given her. I think Shona should win this award for going through everything she has in her own personal life but still goes to work and does the best she can for our children.”

“Shona is warm, kind, approachable and she knows how to handle children.

She communicate with us parents regarding our child very well. I wish I could nominate the whole team. You are all amazing!”

Our Staff team say…

“Shona is an unsung hero at Bramley – quietly putting in her best effort, very much appreciated”

“She always works hard and tries to do her best and her attendance is outstanding.”

“Even after a very tough year Shona has still being amazing with all the children”

“She always has a smile on her face – She is such a lovely person, who obviously loves her job, this shines through with her persona towards all the children in who she comes into contact with. She has a genuine caring attitude, so gentle the type of person that everyone would love to have caring for their little one”

Shona says…
“Winning the pride award means the world to me. It makes me feel proud of myself and what I have achieved as a practitioner and the work I do with the children.
Working for Little People for nearly 9 years I’ve watched myself grow from girl to women and gained so much knowledge and achieved so much working here. This has made me become the practitioner that I am today.
Helping the children to develop and help them achieve their goals makes me feel proud knowing I helped them through that process.
I would also like to thank Little People for all their support and advice over these past months when I’ve been going through my 2 rounds of IVF treatment. I can’t thank you enough. I am excited to now be expecting my own little person.”
