Spotlight on Staff…Becky

Thursday, February 28th, 2019

Becky is our Supervisor at our Alwoodley site, she is full of fun and always has a smile, but it’s her professionalism and care for the children that really shines through to make this one special lady. Becky’s career first began with us as an Apprentice and she was there when we first opened our doors at Alwoodley back in 2011. Over the years Becky has continued to shine, completing her qualifications in both childcare and leadership.

She was the worthy recipient of one of our Pride Awards 2018, voted by parents, staff and children, and presented at our Annual Christmas party.

Our Parents say…

“Becky has been amazing throughout. She did a great job to help our little one settle in and has always been reassuring to us as parents with anxiety of leaving our child in unfamiliar environment to him. She is kind, friendly, approachable, and certainly goes out of her way to help.”

“Becky always greets me and my son Freddie with a happy face each morning and is also great on mornings when Freddie might be a bit grumpy! She always gives him lots of encouragement and he really loves her. She is also great with my older son who has autism she always includes him when we pick Freddie up and always has a spare bun for him on baking days.”

“Absolutely wonderful member of staff, always accommodating and my daughter loved her to bits. She was always kind, courteous and full of smiles and heartfelt words. A real asset to the nursery and we miss her now that my daughter has moved to the school nursery.”

Our Team Members say…

“Her room runs great while she is in it and she does a great job with all the children”

“Becky always seems in control of the room and knows exactly what is going on / has been going on that day to provide feedback to parents. She is always very professional.”

“Becky deserves a pride award because she made me feel really welcome at Little People and helps me in everything I do, my experience here wouldn’t be the same without her and she makes my working day challenging but fun every day and pushes me to make the right choices she’s a credit to Little People!”

“Rebecca sometimes under estimates herself at times, she constantly has different challenges and always manages to work through them and always holds her head up high. Rebecca constantly makes everyone laugh in different ways and I wouldn’t have her any other way. Thank you for all your hard work keep it up keep us laughing.”

Becky says… “Winning a pride award was a great feeling, as it reassured me about my role within the nursery and how my hard work has been observed and appreciated. I have worked within the setting for many years, and I’ve had a lot of great support and so it was nice to feel I have been able to support others and help my staff team have the best experience within the setting.
Thank you to all who voted for my pride award! It was lovely to read all the parents/carers votes and read such nice views from my staff team. Sometimes my job role is challenging and so it was nice to be appreciated and know you’re doing a good job!
I have worked for this company for over seven years, and I still feel welcome, settled and well supported like I did on my first day.
I have a great management team, who go above and beyond to help me achieve and be the best I can be and the staff team are encouraging and always want the best for one another.
Alwoodley Little People Nursery is one big happy family!”
